At Threat Dynamics, we specialize in training programs tailored for schools, businesses, places of worship, and event venues in Florida to effectively respond to active shooter situations. Our comprehensive classes combine tactical, medical, and situational awareness training. Threat Dynamics is an Authorized AVERT /AVIRT Training Center. We offer our training services from St. Petersburg to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
About
Dana Brett Munach, Training Center Director
I have a background in law enforcement and worked as a police academy instructor. Later, I worked as a Safe School Officer (Armed Guardian) and spent five years as the Armed Security Team Supervisor and Safety Training Coordinator on a 40-acre campus. I am a certified AVERT (Active Violence Emergency Response Training) Instructor and have certified over 2,000 individuals. As an AVERT Instructor Trainer (Train-the-Trainer) I have trained and certified many new AVERT instructors who have been either former law enforcement or professional emergency medical personnel.
In addition, I teach and can certify trainees in CPR, AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), Life-Threatening Bleeding Control, and First Aid. To date, I have trained and certified over two thousand individuals in active shooter response.
I am also the creator and developer of “Campus Smart,” a sexual assault prevention and self-defense program designed for high school students preparing to go away to college. This program focusses primarily on situational awareness, preemptive behaviors and safe habits, with physical defense as a last resort.
I find great purpose in providing these critical skills to our trainees—and continue to learn from every group I teach. I look forward to welcoming new participants—friends I haven’t yet met—into one of our classes at Threat Dynamics!

Our mission is to empower communities through strategic training programs designed to enhance safety and preparedness. By equipping individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge, we aim to create secure environments that prioritize safety above all else.
We are committed to ensuring that every individual we train is fully prepared to respond effectively to emergencies. Our programs emphasize the importance of quick thinking, teamwork, and proper execution to handle any threatening situation.
Resilience is at the core of our training philosophy. We provide the skills for our trainees to be immediate responders to stop life threatening bleeding. Eighty percent of active violence victims die from blood loss on scene and not the injury itself.
Our goal is to instill a culture of safety within organizations and communities. We strive to foster an environment where safety practices are ingrained in every aspect of daily operations, ensuring a secure and protected environment for all.
